It was a deflated performance by world champions Indian team. Indians could have played lot better but were clearly lacking sting in the bowling department and had problems playing under the seaming English conditions. England has dominated the test series throughout all four tests. While looking at the stats of white washes in the history of Cricket, it looks like most of the times the home teams has been able to achieve the white washes.
Some exceptions are that once mighty
West Indies and Australians have achieved this feat on foreign soil against healthy oppositions. Hopefully with the introduction of
DRS there will be more losses for the home teams as in the past most of the umpiring blunders used to be against the visitors. It is the first whitewash with
DRS in effect. Hats off to English team for playing the best cricket we have seen from them in the recent years.
