A - EDGE PROFILE

The massive ‘Big Edge’ profile increases from the shoulders and maximizes at the sweet spot, generating supreme balance with an extended sweet spot that covers the entire width of the blade. The ‘Big Edge’ forms a vital part of Kookaburra’s renowned power profiles.

B - SPINE PROFILE

Kookaburra’s ‘Super Spine’ profiles adopt traditional shaping characteristics which operate in unison with the ‘Big Edge’ profile of the bat – creating a huge apex, with unrivaled amounts of power throughout the length of the blade and exceptional ‘pick up’.

C - SWEET SPOT

The position in the blade where performance is maximized. Kookaburra bats are engineered to maximize the size of the sweet spot, allowing the middle of the bat to be spread further across the blade meaning that off-center strikes perform better.

D - SCALLOP

In the quest to maximize profile, the use of scallops on either side of the spine allows the apex to be extended without dramatically increasing weight. Scallops also maximize edge profile which reduces rotation of the blade in off-center hits and the resulting loss of power.

E - FACE PROFILE

The modern game revolves around the profile and thickness of the blade – Kookaburra offers two profiles; Flat and Rounded Face. Flat Face bats generate power through profi le (edge and spine size), whilst the more traditional Rounded Face yields enhanced direction of power throughout the hitting zone.

F - BOW

The curve of the bat from the tip of the handle to the end of the toe. Designed to enhance the position of the hands by placing them ahead of the ball, which is essential for good strokeplay.

BIG EDGES
Increasing the edge profile minimizes the power loss caused by ‘off center strikes. Kookaburra bat edges measure up to 40mm (depending on the weight and profile of the bat) – so you can be sure you’ll lose little when it doesn’t come out of the middle.

BIG SWEET SPOT
Engineered to maximize the size of the sweet spot, by optimizing the edge, spine and scallop profiles - Kookaburra bats are produced with the maximum sized ‘sweet spot’ available, building confidence and emphasizing strokeplay.

SUPER SPINE
Players want bats to look as big as possible; hence they want the spine to be as high as it can be. The Kookaburra ‘Super Spine’ measures up to 68mm (depending on the weight and profile of the bat), generating maximum power through every single ball.

POWER DRIVE
Kookaburra handles utilize multiple pieces of specially selected cane to enhance strength. This reinforces the bond between handle & blade thereby maximizing durability and power transfer.

ANGLED TOE
All Kookaburra bats have a slightly angled toe – this allows the bat to sit comfortably in the stance and promotes the preferred hand position of being slightly ahead of the blade.

NATURALLY DRIED
Kookaburra uses traditional methods to prepare willow, with clefts being left to dry naturally over a period of time rather than ‘flash’ dried in kilns. This gives greater durability as it allows the willow to find its natural moisture level

KPP
This process is done by hand NOT machine and greatly reduces the time needed to prepare your bat for match play. It is not a full ‘knocking in’ service and more preparation work by yourself is advised after purchase.
